Deviant to Celebrate 5th Anniversary Leading Black Queer Circuit Parties with Atlanta 'Black Party'

Atlanta’s vibrant Black LGBTQ+ community is preparing to celebrate an iconic milestone as Deviant, the nation's leading Black queer circuit party experience, marks its 5th anniversary with "The Black Party" on November 23, 2025.

Set against the dynamic backdrop of Underground Atlanta, this celebration promises to be more than a party—it’s a call to action, a reclamation of identity, and a reflection on five years of curating safe spaces for Black queer joy.

From its inception, Deviant has stood as a radical departure from traditional nightlife, championing sex positivity, body positivity, and drug safety through harm reduction practices.

Out Late: Inside a queer kink party at Le Bain in NYC's Meatpacking District

Deviant was born out of a need to create more POC-inclusive queer spaces, and now it's taking over the world.

To some locals, Le Bain has become a sort of Times Square of New York nightlife. It’s the first place out-of-towners are told to go to experience an “authentic” night out, which, if anyone ever tells you a club is authentic, that probably means its heyday has long been over. But to Le Bain’s credit, their curatorial team has always worked hard to pull parties into the space that have genuinely earned their underground stripes. That’s why for the first story of our Out Late column, there was no better party to feature than Deviant, a Black- and brown- centered queer kink party that happens at the space every last Thursday of the month.

Deviant Events hosts community-focused events for the BIPOC LGBTQ+ community that promote mental health, body positivity, and drug safety. The company worked with Heather Lawver of communications agency Perfectly Pitched to optimize their messaging. The prize was awarded for website content and the powerful origin story of co-founder Micah Roseboro.
